Economists said if Washington wanted to help jumpstart our nation's economy it needed to act fast. That's exactly what we did. Congress acted in strong bipartisan fashion to pass an economic stimulus plan that will be signed into law by President Bush today.
When Democrats took control of Congress last year, we vowed to work on behalf of all Americans.
