Congressman Sires Statement on the Passage of House Resolution Condemning Terrorist Attacks in Paris
(Washington, D.C.) - Today, Congressman Sires issued the following statement on the passage of H.Res. 524, Condemning in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in Paris, France, on November 13, 2015, that resulted in the loss of at least 129 lives.
“I am shocked and saddened by the vicious terrorist attacks that took place in Paris this past weekend. These attacks are unfortunately another example of how ISIL-affiliated extremists will stop at nothing to terrorize people all over the world. The senseless targeting of innocent men, women, and children is a cowardly tactic and the U.S. must stand with our allies to combat such violence.
My condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims. Today we stand shoulder to shoulder with our French allies and are committed to finding all those who were responsible for this attack and bringing them to justice.”
H.Res. 524 was passed unanimously on November 17, 2015.
