“I have been deeply troubled by Chairman Nunes’ actions throughout the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russia. Partisan posturing within our Intelligence Committee is not only a detriment to Congress as an institution; it is dangerous for our security. Though I welcome the Chairman’s decision to step down, I continue to support the formation of an independent commission to complete the committee’s work in investigating this important matter.”
