Congressman Sires Condemns Secretary Price’s Use of Private Planes

(Washington D.C.) – Today, Congressman Sires issued the following statement regarding Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Tom Price’s use of taxpayer funds for private plane trips:

“As an appointed public servant, it is Secretary Price’s duty to put the interest of the American taxpayers above his personal interests. Secretary Price’s chartered plane trips are a gross misuse of public resources and taxpayer dollars. I condemn this abuse of power and hope that appropriate punitive action will be taken in response. The use of public funds for chartered jets is inappropriate and wrong, and it would behoove Secretary Price to reimburse taxpayers for his frivolous misuse of government resources. The American people deserve better. ”
